Casa memorială „ANDREI MUREŞANU”

Located in Andrei Mureşanu Street no. 19, the memorial house of the one who gave the poem “A Resurrection”, “Andrei Mureşanu”, has been holding the branch of the County Library for Children and Youth since 1984.

The original building from the former Nasaud street (nowadays Andrei Mureşanu), the house of grandparents from the mother of the poet where he spent part of his childhood was built at the beginning of the 19th century in the style of traditional Romanian houses. In a fire, the house was restored between 1983 and 1984 by the authorities. The lovers of history can see here an exhibition of the Romanian Revolution of 1848, but also official documents, letters, books and publications illustrating the poet’s life and activity.
